And I'm dreaming up a cool KB VOODOO nameplate for the drawer. Stainless steel, laser etched.

BAK Industries designed something like this for people that have tonneu covers.

    They called it the Bakbox

I think that only works with their covers, and it looks plastic.

Mine will be powder coated steel or aluminum. Haven't decided yet.

Or it might actually be a mixture of materials. Steel for the drawer face, and ends. Aluminum for the body of the box.

This sounds perfect!! Easier access than a tool box, but still some lockable storage space in the bed.

Id have to slide it out and remove it when I'm carrying a small boat or kayak but that shouldn't be a big deal either.

It is plastic and it doesn't look like it's rugged enough for 'real' Tacoma people. :D

Me too!:D What's up with that @KB Voodoo ??? I think you're spending too much time with your rod in your hands again!

He told me he is waiting for everyone to start sending him 5 pms a day asking about it. So start sending them folks :D

    Haha!

Really though I think he has put this idea on the backburner to do the basket thingy for people with bed covers.

It would be cool to see what it would look like though, even if it takes a while to go into production...
