Haha, well I'm hoping I can find some that love plants instead! And I dont have a barn they can eat so thats good!

Same here, we just bought a house and it doesnt have a garage or a shop, having to build it all myself! And the shop has to be ready to go as much as it can before the 1st! Is what it is...stoked I have the property to do it in the first place. Come on by, I use the LS1 Tacoma every day!

Yes I am on Prednisone again, back to back massive doses. My buddy works at the hospital and he showed my pics to the Doc and he helped me out! Its calming down now thank goodness, because I have it EVERYWHERE.
    Thanks for checking in Dirk!

Don't be surprised if that poison oak shows up again and again over the next year or so. Anything you touch, anything you brushed up against will contain that oil. Throw the clothes the way they re you were using, scrap the boots, the whole 9 yd. Get yourself a bottle of TECNU. It's gonna happen again since you have it on your property. Soon as you're done working, take an ice cold shower and massage that stuff into your body for like 5 minutes. It works wonders at neutralizing the oils. My poison oak didn't show up on my body for about 3 weeks after I was exposed to it. That stuff is straight chemical warfare.

    This, definitely!

I wear long sleeves and pants when in the field and once after having to hike through PO I drove home, took my clothes off inside-out to keep them from touching anything, put them straight in the laundry, showered with Tecnu scrub/extreme (even better than regular tecnu, works in 15 seconds of rubbing!), and STILL got it on my leg. My downfall was getting back in the truck with shorts on after not wiping down the interior of the truck and leaning my leg against the door in the same place that I did while wearing PO pants. :annoyed: I make sure to wipe everything down with a towel now and wash all my PO clothes and towels separately on cold.

Good luck, @Speed Freek! That's some nasty shit. I hope it goes away soon!

It's worse, if it burns it will carry the oils into your lungs. An itch you can't itch. I suggest roundup every 2 weeks for a couple of months. Or there are people who rent out goats for hard to reach brush clearing. Some cities have started using them.

    Oh god...burning PO sounds awful!

The best is when the folks clearing vegetation on some of the projects I work on feed poison oak into a chipper... Little bits of pure evil floating through the air

Thanks for the comments on the PO, its fucking horrible, worst thing EVER! Its still on my eyelids and they are both swollen, I DO keep getting new spots all over the place, not even sure what clothes I was wearing the 2 days I was swimming in that stuff.

I was on high dose Steroids for 5 days, now I have no more and it seems to be getting worse, I had a friend thats a doctor look at it and he said I was in danger of going into shock! I was feeling pretty weak and shitty but thought it was because I have been working 16+ hour days for what seems like weeks now, even my hands have been tingling for the past 3 days and feel slightly numb.

SO wash the stuff in cold water not hot? Guess I fucked up there, I washed it in Ultra hot water thinking it would melt all the bad oils away!

I was playing with the Chainsaw that day as well as a bunch of other tools, and one kicker is I was wearing thin motorcycle gloves that were soaked in sweat while having Oak juice in them, I had PO between my fingers, sonuva, that is REALLY uncomfortable.

Sucks bad, still covered, itching super bad, have to put scalding hot water on my body 3 times a day to quell the itching, wouldnt wish this shit on my worst enemy!!

I am so damn tired I just want to take a break, but not gonna happen till after the 1st, this is gonna suck, lol.
Heading back to my new place after a store run to get more paint supplies for the interior of the house, we are moving all our house stuff this weekend. And next week I can move my shop and build the back wall as well as figure out what kind of roof to build so I can go buy my new lifts and install them and wire up the 220v for my welders.

A lot to finish in 9 days but I'll make it happen. Im like a robot, lol.
