Buying an ATV...its about an hour away from me and looking to haul it in the back of my 96 xtra cab. Does anyone have any experience here? Pics of ATV fitting, tailgate strength issues, etc. It will be a Honda Rancher (570 lbs)

Loaded my buddy's fo20 rancher into my bed plenty of times. Pulls like nothing's there and truck doesn't squat that badly either. Don't sit on the tailgate for too long or the cables will give out over time

Should fit depending on year. I use to haul a suzuki king quad in my 97 extended cab. Had to make sure it was tied back so the front rack didn't blow out the back window. I ended up using a 3/4 inch piece of plywood the whole length of the bed, cut out for the fender wells and extending out over the tailgate. That way it gave the tailgate some extra support. Also put tie down locations in the plywood to tie down the ramps so didn't slide out the back. But for short term I would think the tailgate would be fine.

Had to roll front tires over the wheel wells in the bed, no issues otherwise
