The same shit everyone else has.
That's why I mentioned custom made spacers. Companies like Adaptec and Motorsports Hardware make custom sized spacer to order. They'll be cheaper than aftermarket UCAs or new wheels or tires. You will have to run longer studs after you get to a certain thickness spacer.

Measure how much clearance you need to clear the UCAs then measure how much clearance there is between the tire and the cab mount.

No sense ordering a .75" wheel spacer if you you only need .25" to clear the UCA.

A little trick is to get a handful of washers the same thickness and put them on the wheel studs between the hub and wheel. Start with a washer or 2 on opposite sides of each other (6 and 12 o'clock) then bolt the wheel on. See if it clears everything. If it does, that's the thickness of wheel spacer you need. If it doesn't clear, add another washer or 2, put the wheel back on and see what happens. Repeat his process until youre happy with were the tire sits. Measure the thickness of the washer, this determines the thickness of the spacer.

Granted, this only works up to a point, if you have an inch of washers on the stud, you won't be able to bolt a wheel back on.

I use this trick a lot to determine backspacing and wheel widths and spacer/adapter thicknesses when building custom width 3 piece wheels.

DISCLAIMER - DO NOT USE WASHERS AS SPACERS, YOU WILL DIE. Use them to measure only.

Not a bad idea.... at least to see if spacers alone will fix the issue or if he has get a CMC after the spacers.

I agree, I hope down the line he ditches the spacer lift though.
