Would work but was looking for something that would stay attached to the outside. Wouldn't want to whip it out everytime I wanted to access the roof. Usually did so at rest stops or photo ops. Also gas stops where i had to get my octane boosters from the bins up top. Thanks though!!

I'd be interested in what you fabricate as I too have been looking for a permanent ladder attachment. Good luck!

    Thanks!

Looks like the roof rack is supported by tubes running into the bed. The added rear length would give it enough space to attach the ladder. Don't see this working wth my cap

Good one! Looks like he's welded a bracket onto the slider but yea...nothing on how it attaches up top. Guessing hard mount right into the shell/canopy/topper? Either way...still a custom job but some good ideas going. Thanks for all this!

Bushing setup on the bottom to allow for flexing of the chassis? Top might be a system that pivots to allow the top to bend with the flex.
Or at least that's how I would do it.

That looks fantastic! Bolts well onto your rack. Foam piece under the bottom piece to keep it from rubbing into the shell too much?

Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be able to bolt onto my back rack as that's where my RTT would be. Will have to find a way to attach mine to my cab roof rack. I think I've ditched the idea of having it attach one end on the cab and the other end on the back rack as the flex would tear that apart in a hurry...

Otherwise, that looks really good! Well done! Very clean.

Every shell and base rack setup is different I don't know if the angels and length would match up.

Not a bad concept but at the size you might as well carry a step ladder around.
