@KB Voodoo, have you looked at a bracket for any of the retractable tonneau covers for example a Roll n Lock, Retrax or Pace Edwards?

I don't have one so I can't post pictures. The covers retract into a box in the bed near the cab. On the positive side, I imagine a bracket similar to the current bracket would allow someone to retract the cover through the bracket giving access to the bed.

I can see a possibility of the storage box for the cover getting in the way of your racks mounting system however.

I recently did the White Rim Trail with the mid-height on my truck. It got tons of compliments! It was super handy to have! I took a bunch of extra gear from another Taco and a Jeep that were on the trip with us and was able to tie everything down really securely so that I could still fly over the dunes and slide through the corners without worry.

So if Chad makes some new brackets, something like the Backflip G2 would work with the bed rack?

Oh man! I've been looking for something like this! I've been saving up to get a tonneau that'll work with my bed rack, this could possibly hit the top of my list.

I got the cover already. I want a bed rack, just don't want to get rid of the cover.

So this is what the standard tonneau bracket looks like.

This is the prototype Bakflip bracket.

So would that go behind the rail, or is this for the rails that have to be relocated on some bakflip models?

Refresh my memory....what was unique about your cover that won't allow the standard brackets to work?

So the bakflip MX 4 and a few others have been updated, they provide rails that mount to the OEM rail as is.
