Just got my rack last week and started planning out the mounting of it. I have a retrax cover and it has 4 mounting positions just like the kb rack does. I'm kinda stuck now on a couple issues maybe someone can help me out.

    1. The mounting positions towards the rear of the bed are pretty much at the same spot as the mounting positions of my retrax cover so i'm thinkig of redrilling another hole down the retrax rail and mount it somewhere else, but the metal is pretty thin.

    2. When the tonneau brackets are installed it lifts the retrax side track rails 1/4 inch which raises the mounting hold 1/4 as well and no longer matches up with the t nut hole that goes into the factory rail.

    hmmm what to do now?

if you move the mount and you're concerned about thin metal, could you just drill a hole in a piece of flat iron and sandwich it?

Has anybody mounted a cargo basket or a roof rack of some kind on top of their voodoo rack?
I've been tossing around that idea in my head and was wondering if it's been done

B0365479-9A99-496A-B766-0DBF717B7270.jpg Do you know if the tonneau brackets will fit with Diamondback covers? I understand the cover won’t open, but my plan is to take the rack off when not off-road. I’m curious if the bracket gives enough clearance for the thickness of these heavy duty covers that can hold hundreds of pounds.

I believe they work. There is just enough clearance.

So a question to those that have been rocking the bedrack: has anyone had issues with the bedrack t-slot nuts coming loose while off-roading? I have a RTT bolted to my premium bed rack and while it has been solid for the last month-and-a-half, I went off-roading last weekend and was surprising to find that the t-slot nuts had come loose and caused the whole rack to jump, shift, etc while going over some rough terrain. Tightened them down several times, but haven't figured out how they popped out quite yet.

    Anyone have experience with this?

This is the first I’ve ever heard of that. None of mine have ever come loose.

Make sure they’re good and tight. If it happens again, try some blue loctite.

Will do. I need to check if my bedrails are somehow damaged. The rack itself is solid, just the t-slot nut connection was giving me issues.

Yes, they just barely fit which is great as the towers literally sit on the DBC, which makes them even stouter.

They definitely work with Retrax and the Pace Edwards Switchblade.

I installed the Switchblade on my truck. The OEM seal is pretty weak.
Some said they've used weatherstripping. Can someone link to what I should get to make this sucker seal?

    Thanks!

I too have the Switchblade. My first mod to my 2019 TRD OR. The challenge I had was the gap in the front corners of the of the bed where the canister attached. Went round and round with customer service, suggested they include a square foam pad to put on the ends of the front bed rail to close the gap. All they could provide was a long piece of foam for me to cut and put in the space. Other than that the bed stays dry.

I now want to get to get a bed rack that will work with this cover and a RTT. Any body know if the KB Voodoo hi rise work without creating a void to let water in or bend the cover's bed caps so they look bad?
