That will happen after boosted and standalone is complete. Gonna be a slick/skinny car on a Ford 9" shortened rear end.

But current phase is just getting it running right all motor and get the breaks, suspension, etc dialed in.

Probably gonna spray a 50-100 shot on it for now and just run radials.

cut the core support to make the 2j easier to stab, dropped the fuel tank and removed old fuel lines, decreased the engine bay and got the mockup 2j block on the stand so I can lift the good one up tomorrow and transfer oil pans. Also need to bolt the trans to the mock up block and see where everything is gonna sit.

Would like to have the engine in and make templates for motor mounts tomorrow but my gf may make those plans change so we will see. Making dang good progress.

Going to order a fuel cell, lines and pump this weekend to complete the fuel system.

Still looking for a good set of wheels and tires to throw under it for right now just to drive it and get the kinks worked out of it.

And debating on picking up another stock dash in good condition and getting gauges for it or just building an aluminum dash and put a spot for a tablet since the ECU on the standalone I'll be using will have Bluetooth option for gauges.

    Making progress every day.

Dude, just remove everything inside that interior. Just have couple seats, steering wheel and mount a Racepak to the column. Don't need all that other bullshit :D

Today took a little longer than expected. Moving engines and engine stands takes forever without a shop and multiples hoist/stands.

Hoisted the old 22r onto the tundra and dropped it to the side so I can strip bolts from it.

    Moved engine hoist to shed.

    Hoisted good 2j onto tundra

    Moved 2j to slab/shop

    Drug engine hoist back.

Put good 2j on engine stand

    Flipped and removed oil pan

Put oil pan on mock up 2j

Put mockup 2j on engine hoist.

Andddd bolted trans to mock up 2j

Everything is ready to be stabbed now thankfully so tomorrow I will finally get to see how everything is going to fit. Praying it's gonna go smooth lol

If I wasn't trying to get this thing running soon... I'd swap in some 1,000+ rods while it's apart butttt not gonna start that downward spiral

I'd like to get it together and running within a month. Two tops.

Why not go all out the first time?
Causssee it goes from a $8-$10k build to a $40k build that takes years

I'm not gonna dive head first into this build lol. Gonna start with my toes in the water and enjoy it one little dip at a time. Pulling the motor and trans isn't bad at all.
    I'll upgrade along the way

Basically like "why put a 3" lift on your Tacoma? Go straight to solid axle and call it done "
Fuck that lol I don't have that kind of bank account

Excuse the mess of a slab and no oil drip pan. My dads shop burned a couple months ago and we lost everything. Literally every single tool and machine. Soooo we are in the rebuild process and they have to come in and pour a new footing around the old slab and shit so no fucks are given as of now. I can't believe I'm Doing this swap without even a roof or lights over my head but yolo. It's gonna be fun lol
