Glad you showed that asshole whats up! Similar situation happened in my old 4runner when I got hit at 30 mph at a stop light. My 95 runner had a slight ding, but the hitch pretty much grenaded the girls front end of her Honda. I just got out, looked at my rear and noticed a little scuff although the bumper had a few hits from other guys at this point for similar situations. I think she likely had a 2-3k damage and I just drove home without a second thought. It is amazing what these vehicles can take compared to others.

    In progress.... And getting better!
No shit! Just wish I’d had the actual tongue and ball attached. Would have ended his Pathfinder’s life. Wait a second... How did you know that the guy was a total asshole? Were you the respectable CHP officer that responded? Just kidding. lol The guy was a total prick! His first response was, and I shit you not, “You stopped in front of me.” “I mean really!?! No shit I stopped in front of you. That’s what you do when traffic stops in front of you!” He then refused to give me any of his info. Again, good thing the CHP responded and got it. What an asshole that guy was...
Ummmmmm.... thanks for letting me rant.

Yea man, when guys are like that its good to know the officer will get shit straight the easy way or the hard way. That does crack me up though when they say that. Its one thing for a hidden stop sign or some person/thing crossing the road...but when there is a trail of vehicles present? Yea bro he had nothing. If anything he was probably salty as fuck that he got destroyed while your truck is still driveable and will live on after a fresh kill.

I had no choice but to lift after this devastating branch on mirror damage occurred. Now I feel much better protected from branches sitting at stock height mirror level.

Took me a while to see the scratches as I thought they were part of a reflection. Lift always seems to help in terms of getting things out of the way.

How did you contribute to the accident? You got hit in the rear by that F150.

Must be something along those lines, when I got rear ended a few years back the girl who hit me's insurance cut me a check for what the collision shop quoted. Didn't have to touch my insurance at all.

Worked out pretty well, put that $900-ish in the bank to be part of a down payment on my Subaru. Not worth getting the bumper fixed on a 12 year old Altima with 150k miles lol

Lane change letting...someone merge onto the interstate...saw the guy way back in my rear view...looked back over to merging traffic...he got in my blind spot...he told cop that he was doing 70 (he thought speed was that...it was actually 60)...wonder if he was actually going faster...I should have looked better....first and hopefully only accident ever.

Talked to bodyshop today they are in paint now...not bad since I dropped it off Monday morning...confirmed for the second time they were not trying to use aftermarket parts. They did get the brake light form salvage yard (insurance grade part)...have been told Geico likes to use after market when they can...

One time a leaf landed on my truck, I ended up getting new tires and a lift to prevent future incidences
