Stereo Q.. asking for a friend

Hi 4runners.. My friend wants to get her hubby a stereo for his bday. I got this one in my 2011 Tacoma and figured it's a decent stereo for her budget. He's got a 2011 4Runner. Can you suggest the dash kit and anything else needed so she can take this (or another recommended HU if you have one) to Bestbuy to install?

PS.. I guess this HU is pretty old now, so if you can suggest a better one for under $300, please do! Sorry if this has been asked before.
