New iPhone X is rumored to have Qi wireless charging. Not that anyone can afford the phone....

S8+ in a case and works fine. I keep it towards the back favoring the passenger side and works every time.

I wish they would remove it and put a couple a USB ports in the cubbyhole instead, and they can leave rubber pad so the phones don't move around

I have the top of the screen on the passenger side, if yours is turned maybe that's why... Otherwise, beats me.

not impressed at all with it. used it once and found if the phone isn't in that "sweet spot"
it stops charging and the fact that you'd use while, you know...driving :D causes it to
move around some and out of that sweet spot makes it kinda useless for me, so after
a couple tests with it I haven't used it again.

just bought a note 8 Monday night. worked fine heading home that day. Tuesday it worked in the morning. In the afternoon however it overheated my phone and caused continuous connect disconnect behavior within about 20 minutes. Wed it worked fine. Thursday morning on my way to work, worked fine.

This does heat up my phone which i'm not excited about and it doesn't charge much, about 3% if I'm streaming spotify to BT in my 10 minute drive to work.

Heat kills phone batteries so i'm going to give it a month of testing before i'll discontinue use unless it impresses, which i doubt.

Gimmick- a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business. I guess this a "gimmick" that functions properly as advertised and uses a technology that is literally in every phone being built or going to be built. Time to get rid of your flip phone and stop unintentionally promoting AARP.

Use it all the time s7 edge. Works flawlessly with case. Never over heats. Charges relatively quick considering. The only negative I've found is that it needs to be in the correct position. Almost a sweet spot so to say. Overall does exactly what it's intended to and a useful feature to throw in the cubby and hit a button. Convienant for daily use or long road trips where USBs and lighter ports are being used for family.

Tell that to the galaxy owners that barely keeps it charged through the wireless charging. This will be the next big technology, it's just not fine tuned yet. Slow charging, temperamental positions of where the phone is, etc.

I tried it but was not satisfied because of the above reasons. Sorry, my post should have said "never USE it"

I have used mine 2-3 times. Seems to have a lot of issues with getting too hot, even when I am just turning it on initially and it's hot outside. The 2 lights flash, which according to the manual says that it is too hot or there is a problem with the charging system. I check it every now and then to see if it wants to work, but I usually get the flashing lights.
