Looking at doing bilstin 5100 for front and rear with 2" adjustment lift. The rear..does it need to have a block or add a leaf? Can I just do the struts with 2" lift for the rear? Thanks

A few mods here and there and counting....
You are correct. Either blocks or AAL. The rear shocks alone won't give you any lift.

If you're looking for an inexpensive option, @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc makes 1.5" and 2" single add a leafs for less than $80 to lift the rear. I've ran the 2" on two separate trucks and I've been very happy with it.

you can do block or AAL.... you can get a basic AAL on Ebay for like $50 if youre looking to go cheap...

or you can hit up @HeadStrong Off-Road ... they have some solid options for single AAL, 3 leaf mini pack, or even full leaf replacements if you want to go that route.
