Boy do I love tacomas. I bought a 2015 a couple years ago, but had to sell it when the military moved me to MD. The daily commute was going to be too far, so I sold it for a daily driver. Well, 8 months later I missed it so much I bought a 2005 as a second vehicle for the sole purpose of off-toading and camping.

Over the past couple months, I have built this truck into a very capable machine, and I take it camping every 3-4 weeks. My tools live in my truck, as it makes no sense to constantly take them in and out since I go out so frequently.

I even built a DIY version of this, as I needed some sort of system to store my tools in while still having an area for larger items. If you were to pick me, I would graciously donate my DIY version to another local TW member who wants it.

My job also consists of me sitting in front of a computer for 12 hours a day, and my job is very slow. I spend a lot of time on TW, so I would be available almost immediately to answer any questions that any potential customers have.

    Thanks for your consideration!

Ah shoot, just realized this is the 3rd gen sub forum. @TheDECKEDGuy is this for 2016+ only or for 2005-2015 as well?

Obviously i still vote my my own truck first ;) but this girl right here would use the heck outta this thing! I've personal helped work on this truck and been on trips with her and if anyone NEEDS storage it's this rig. It would truly be put to the test and to good use. Just throwing this out there.

.... but i still need one really bad also :)

I would love to test the product. I am a member of a local 4x4 club and am very active on OHV trails. The drawer system will be subject to trail abuse and constant use. It will be exposed to the outdoor elements.

My truck is also my daily driver and is used heavily for house projects. I will be testing the impact of the system on the truck with constant load on stock suspension and how the system's top platform handles the weight as I frequently need to load the truck using a ramp.

Regardless of who you pick, it would be great to see this with a camper, a bed rack with an rtt on it and someone with the open bed, so we can get a good idea of how it will be for our set ups!

Waiting on confirmation of this, but I suppose I'll throw my name into the bucket just in case.

I'm a full time ski bum in the winters. I haul a 500lb snowmobile around in the back of my truck all winter long while I chase snow around the Pacific northwest. I've always been interested in the decked system, because it looks very similar to my own platforms i've made out of wood. Most snowmobiles don't fit between the wheel wells of a Tacoma, so it is crucial to build a deck that is flush, or higher than the wheel wells. The space under the deck is used for skis, poles, gas cans, and other gear.

Between loading the sled on and off the deck on an almost daily basis, as well as living and driving in snowy, rainy, and muddy conditions, I think I would give the deck a solid test/review. There would be no lack of spectacular photos. In addition to maintaining a live thread on TacomaWorld, I believe that this deck would advertise itself to other snowmobile/ski enthusiasts with similar setups along my way.

There are a few details that I would need to iron out. My deck has a tailgate extension piece, which is removable when the sled isn't on the truck. This could be easily modified to work with the Decked system as well. If @TheDECKEDGuy is interested in what I can offer, please PM me and we can talk details to see if I would be a good candidate to test this product.

Regardless, looking forward to the feedback from whomever gets chosen to test these decks!

willing to install and test a DECKED system in my Tacoma for at least 6 months!

Between family vacation, taking guns to the range and tailgating, I need storage. I'm not a topper guy. My wife doesn't like the giant fiberglass lawn ornaments!

    I'll post it daily.

Would love to test and report on one of your DECKED systems! This system would be a great benefit as my wife and I routinely tour and camp in our nation's national parks. Truck is a 2017 DCLB TRD Off-road and is now equipped with a bed rack and Tepui RTT.IMG_20170921_124609.jpg

Would love to test but I'll save the pictures for when it's installed!

Overlanding and general debauchery on trails. Curious to see if an ARB fridge can be mounted on top of the deck but below a cap. I think so.

I'd love this opportunity. I built my own deck storage for the truck. I've been mostly happy with it, but its definitely not ideal. I have some sagging in the middle when there's too much weight on it. Built it with 3/4" and using skateboard bearings for the slides. I have it loaded up with about 800lbs in camping and fishing gear. With the topper and racks, I'm probably 1,000 lbs in the bed (hence why I have airbags also installed!) Drawer slides have been okay - but not the best. Even with about 80 bearings, with so much weight in the drawer it still takes a good deal of effort to slide the drawer back in. Would be great to test out and report back on a professional built installation instead. Can compare to my DIY setup!

Since I live on a boat year-round, all my outdoor activity gear is stored and used out of the truck year round. No room on the boat for all this gear! Also built a rack above the storage for fishing rods, shovel, etc. Adventures over the next six months will include multiple trips in the snow up to Mt Hood, backpacking in the Oregon Coastal Range, etc. Next summer I'll also be taking 3 months off from work and doing multiple adventures.

@TheDECKEDGuy I am 100% down for doing this and making some YouTube vids along tracking this on my Instagram! AWWWHHH YYEEAAAHHHH!!!! I daily my truck and take it to local off road parks and such for some fun with my bud's Taco(white one pictured). My truck is completely bone stock, for now... I'd use your system to carry spare tools and equipment that hogs space in the cab.

Can't win it if you're not in it right? So here goes....

I use mine as a daily and for camping/wheeling up in the Sierras. Most of all though if you need this tested to the max for strength and durability I'm your guy :D. I love the high speed stuff so it would definitely be put through it's paces!

My plan is to keep all tools/spares/gear etc in the Decked system and use as a sleeping platform with a soft top over it. We run with a big Raptor contingent as well so plenty opportunity for cross selling

Something like this would very nice for accessing my generator and cooler while traveling with the trailer. I'd also think about mounting my co2 tank and maxsa boards to it for easier access.

@TheDECKEDGuy I'll throw my hat in the ring. 2016 TRD Sport Long Bed. It's my daily driver and my weekend overlander, dirt bike hauler and adventure mobile. Every weekend I'm out exploring Utah and Colorado and the Tacoma is my mobile base camp. I get to see amazing places every week and take tons of photos of my adventures. I'm always in search of a clean and efficient way to store all of my gear and keep my stuff secure while i'm in the back country. As a law enforcement officer and firearms instructor, I often take long arms and ammo into the back country and am always worried about it when I leave the vehicle. Your system will solve that issue for me.

If chosen, I'll take the decked system to places most only dream of visiting. Thanks.

I'd love to test out the Decked product. I love my truck and have used it for everything from daily driving to exploring mountain trails in Colorado. I'm an avid camper so it would serve as home for most of that equipment. The system would provide an optimal storage solution for me because I currently have my spare on top of a bed rack, which will relocate to the bed once I get a RTT up there. The Decked drawer system would allow me to organize my tools, recovery gear, and camping gear without having to work around a fullsize spare in the bed. My two dogs will also appreciate not sharing space with equipment in the back seat. I've been looking at building my own system, but this would clearly be much easier.

I spend a fair portion of my professional time interfacing with and testing the durability of bleeding edge military hardware, so I know how to put a piece of equipment through the wringer. Anyone around here who knows me knows that I don't sugar coat my opinions and will always share my thoughts about a product, positive or negative. I've given to this community by creating and maintaining my thread regarding fitting 255s on third gens, which in itself was a leap of faith for me that I turned into a great source of info for other 3rd gen owners on this forum. Through that, I've demonstrated the ability to manage a large thread and be responsive to peoples' questions, so that will be a piece of cake.

I don't have 100k followers on instaface or a huge youtube channel, so if you're just looking for someone to get some external advertising from, I'm not the guy. But if you're looking for someone with a professional background in testing and have enough faith in your product to have it hammered on by someone who won't pull any punches in their evaluation of it, I'd be happy to help!

I have #2 down no problem, I got the photo and marketing skills for what you would want, also I would leak Decked into my instagram too. (@austinrauh) I've won many photo contest and was an ambassador for Lifeproof phone cases. Along with that I have taken product photos for The Waterport, Pelican Cases, and Hydroflask to name a few (I wasn't paid just given product via contest).
Also the abuse part is no problem! I use the tacoma for everything, from hunting (A lot of waterfowl), mountain biking, exploring, snowboarding, climbing, paddle boarding, Camping, fishing, photography, and hauling my work stuff to and from work to name a few.
I am a Helitack wildland Fire Fighter based out of Reno, NV. But i'm usually all over the place if you look at my instagram, for example I just got done with a road trip to the Grand tetons NP->Yellow Stone NP -> Glacier NP -> Waterton NP, Canada->Banff NP, Candada ->Yoho NP ->Kooteney NP, Canada. Also at the beginning of the year the we went to Death Valley NP ->Grand Canyon NP ->Arches NP ->Canyonlands NP ->Capitol Reef NP ->Bryce Canyon NP ->Zion NP ->Great Basin NP.

(Current Picture of truck, also about to instal canopy rack to match the front Prinsu)
