Even further behind here. I just hit 111 light level today. Lol. Have not had time to put hours into it yet.

 

Took me under 5 hours to level a Hunter to where my Titan is. Im a 270s Hunter with blue armor.

 

Took me the amount of time to run though the story mission and my second WL is sitting at 295. The benefits of just storing armor and weapons in the vault for another character.

 

A bit different for someone that mains a titan and started a Hunter. You can really only move weapons

 

Yep... I agree. Which is why I main 2 WL's. I'm just not fond of the Titan for some reason. I'll level a hunter later.

 

Too bad, sentinel is very strong in the right hands, not to mention versitile AF

 

Pretty damn good haul from the Raid last night.

The raid itself is (personally) a lot of fun. We went in blind and figured it out in about 4 days of searching for hidden chests, beating the 4 encounters, and just exploring the ship. I really like the mechanics even though they are similar to D1's raids in some ways. Once you figure it out it becomes easy mode. Haven't tried prestige yet since we still have a few that are in the high 280's.

BTW... The NF sucked this week. It wasn't hard I just hate that strike.


*EDIT* For some reason all of our Raid Gear dropped at a lower power level than what we had currently equipped? Not just me but everyone. And I'm the only one running dual characters.

 

Put it on burst glide. If you have the Mida combo you will pass most everyone. Depending on the map for PvP my usual loadout is Mida, Uriel's Gift, and either a Rocket Launcher or sword.

Hunter is my next character to level. I'm just not ready to go through the story once again right now. I know they gimped having multiple of the same class but that doesn't affect me. I just transfer all my high level stuff that I'm not using on my main over to the second WL. Then transfer weapons. Going to do the raid once again today and even though my drops might be at a lower level I've still got so much infusion material that he'll also be 300. I know the Titan brings good things to PvP and the Raid. Hell... My Titan had the highest K/D in D1. I just didn't like playing that character for some reason.

The Hunter is still one of the best "utility" classes in the game but it sucks that shadestep (or whatever they call it now) is on such a long cooldown since I abused shadestep. The WL's Icarius Dash comes up every 8 seconds and it saves my ass quite often. Plus add the healing rift??? Fuck yeah. I love standing around a corner after I've been shot in PvP and I know someone is coming in for the kill. Drop a healing rift and sword the shit out of them lol. The WL is finally viable. The WL actually brings utility to the game now instead of just having a revive and nothing else to offer. And it makes me play better knowing I can't die especially during some of the phases of the final boss fight in the raid. I love the token system for revives in the raid also. Good mechanic.

 

I think you'll like it. There is A LOT to explore so I suggest finding all the chests first so you can get as many tokens to trade in on armor/weapons. The difference in this raid is you don't get anything after beating a boss. You HAVE to beat the final boss and then go collect your loot. And you use tokens to trade in with the sweeper bot below Hawthorn for the rest of your loot. You also only have one revive token (instead of being able to rez someone as many times as you want) so you need to figure out when the best time to spend it (especially on the final boss). It's like all the other raids. Once you get the timing and mechanics down it gets easy. We went in blind so we worked out our own way. Not sure if it's the best way but it worked easily for "us".

One hint: Coldheart on the final boss.

 

Think I'm going to start my Hunter today. I've gone as far as I can with my other characters. 305 is the soft cap (as far as I know?) and my drops won't decrypt into anything that I've got at the moment. Other than the shotgun quest from the raid I think I have every exotic weapon with the exception of the Vigilance Wing. I cannot get that weapon to drop

 

Oh... went into Trials yesterday and let's just say... we got our ass handed to us lol. Admittedly we've concentrated on the PvE portion and only played PvP in competitive mode but that doesn't really get you ready for Trials. Where we dominate in competitive mode we sure as hell didn't in Trials. Of course we have never played on the map that Trials is on but after 5 games or so we should have had a basic understanding of the lanes and angles but nope. But I like the setup and new style of PvP. I don't like that you can't choose the game mode like you could in D1 but it forces you to play everything. So that's okay. But I really like that there is an objective in Trials. Countdown and Survival are my favorite game modes by far. 1v1 I don't worry about especially if I get the first shot off. The ttk is so much longer now that I've had to adjust my playstyle. It forces you to stick together as a team rather than run off as a lone wolf like you could in D1. Getting team shot is a bitch lol

 

I want that one. I've got a feeling that's going to be my Gjallarhorn or Fatebringer. Only took me 6 months to get the Gjallarhorn and 52 runs through VoG to get the Fatebringer. Not sure how good it actually is but I just want everything I can get out of the game just to say "I've got one of those" lol.

Yes... You definitely need to get the Hunter helm. I went on and picked one up since I knew I'd be making a hunter.

 

Did a shit ton of grinding this weekend. Hunter is in the 280s and Titan is 297. I started the raid yesterday and made it all the way to Calus but then we stopped after about 4 hours total. I filled my engrams twice, so much loot.
At the end of it all I walked away with almost everything my loadout was missing (uriels & last hope) all im looking for now is the Antiope D and im setup for this current meta. Sure, I have some other goodies saved just in case bungos inevitable sandbox balance changes things. Like a few shotguns, pulses and snipes.

Hopefully ill finish of Calus tomorrow after work, before reset.

My clan also finished everything. Trials reward was the scout, raid was the SMG.
