    Crazy Year!

So, Alex Gordon has the worst offensive year of his career but . . . hits "the HR" that breaks the combined all time home run record 5694th for the American League from back in steroid laden 2000.

Mike Moustakas [Moose] breaks the all time single season home run record for the Royals going clear back to Steve Balboni in 1985.

Our 29th round rookie pitcher Junis won his 8th straight. Last 5 starts has a 2.65 ERA. Seems to be our new "Ace".

And, despite sucking the last several weeks, since all the other teams in the AL wild card hunt have been sucking too, the Royals are STILL only 3 1/2 out with only 2 teams to now hop over instead of the entire list. I still say it ain't happenin' but . . . it's certainly crazy!

A little of this and a little of that.

Nice to see Mike Moustakas having another great year!

Thoughts on MLB manager of the year?

    AL?

    NL?

I actually like Craig Counsell for the NL and Terry Francona for the AL.

It is all but gone being 2.5 games out of the WildCard right now. :pout:

Don't get me wrong, it has been a very exciting season. We were there when they scored 8(?) runs in an inning when Miami was the home team in Milwaukee.

So the World Series MVP award will now be named after a player who hit .239 in the World Series with zero home runs?

It should be named after Mantle or Berra.

Mays wasn't better at hitting in the World Series. Mays played in 4 WS and never even hit a home run, only has 17 hits in 20 games.

Name the NL regular season MVP award after Mays, but there's no reason to name the WS MVP after him.
