Tell me how old you feel installing these upgrades in the parking lot while your 5 year old daughter's at dance practice.

Inexpensive...Not cheap.. :thumbsup:Did my doors today dodging lightning and thunderstorms as I had done the tweeters yesterday. OP is right. There are actually highs going up to 'em that can be heard now with the better tweeters. I just wanted to add to the reviews in this thread for future readers and say that it's all money well spent. I honestly couldn't believe how cheap / light the OEMs were and yet sounded as "good" as they did. Thanks again @bshammer0 for kicking it off with exactly what you need.

I (unfortunately) missed the Crutchfield buy 1 get 1 half off speaker sale, anyone know if they offer that deal very often? I have the Kicker tweeters on the way and hoping to get the Kicker front & rears before winter

I talked to them today and the guy said he had no idea. Nice guy (Larry) but mum on future sales. He pointed me to some Focals that he said were better but at a higher price. Front and rear door speakers will cost me about $370. I’m just starting with the Kicker Tweeters.

Installed some sound proofing material and the new speakers on all 4 doors.

The difference was incredible. It was worth the 8 hours it took to do in the hot Louisiana sun.

Just gonna post the driver side door, basically did all the same on all the other doors.

Let me know if anyone has questions regarding the process.

Looks like you did a fantastic job! , how expensive is the sound proofing material and how is it held in place? Did you do the Kicker dash tweeters to? Pretty big difference from factory sound i bet

Understood. I am going to start with the Tweeters and go from there. I’m not an audiophile by any stretch so it wouldn’t surprise me if the tweeter upgrade is good enough. That would make me even happier and I will just spend the money elsewhere. That’s kind of what we Americans do. Spend. LOL

25 Square Feet was the perfect amount. I had about 2 1/2 sheets left of the material for anything else I needed to cover up.

Thank you! I think I did a great job especially that I don't work on my car much. It was my first time doing something like this. This is the exact thing I ordered.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012AVX5HQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It comes in a pack of a couple sheets. You just peel the back off like a sticker and it sticks. Then you roll it with a roller. I actually used a wooden spatula cause I forgot to buy a roller LOL.

    The difference is insane...

A lint brush works well too and is cheaper!

Yeah, it should be under in the suggest items I actually used a wooden spatula cause I forgot to get a roller haha. The roller just smooths out the material and makes it flatter for you. The material has a sticker on the back and you just peel it off. It's pretty forgiving if you need to move.
