New member here with my '17 Taco scheduled to enter into my life in about 6 weeks (stoked). I'm hoping I chose the right forum here otherwise please point me in the right direction.

Anyways, I'm getting the silver sky metallic paint and I already am planning on blacking out the badges and grille. I know that plastidip is a pretty common option for this, I assume about 5-7 coats usually provides a pretty safe layer and coats everything well. But I've recently learned about duplicolor custom wrap spray, and I wanted to know if anyone else has used it before?
I liked that with the duplicolor you can keep the badges on the truck and the excess peels off the paint quite readily (from what it looked like in video), so I'm wondering if plastidip is similar or if I have to remove them all?

Any advice is welcomed, I'm just looking for a good clean black finish on all the chrome.

Plastidip on my badges and grille. All badges left on and had no problems. Grille was removed, but left the surround attached. I just taped and papered around the painted parts that I didn't want sprayed.
