Leaving my job at a financial institution so I will finally be 'allowed' to do some actual trading.

Looking to get the ups and down ma of different platforms.

Look into robinhood but there seems to be a lot of down to the trades being free.

That being said a low cost platform is preferred. Don't need a ton of research add ins.

I use robin hood its simple and free tradeing. If you refer a friend (wife or girlfriend) you BOTH get a free stock ($5-15 worth) . My mom uses Fidelity App its like $5.99 a share.

Correction, 5.99 per trade, not per share. I am a pretty low frequency trader, but I use TD Ameritrade, and the sig other uses Schwab. I like Schwab's interface a little better. Both are very usable and I think also 5-6 bucks per trade. If you are looking to get in and out a dozen times a day though, probably not for you.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see how old this was. Threads move pretty slow in this area.
