The trifecta to reverse winching with front winch

 

Hey all. Been a member on TW for a while but really haven't started posting since the summer and have been reading through the NJ BS thread for a while before that. Was convinced/urged this week to jump in here and finally introduce myself. It's good to see so many NJers on TW. Started realizing I've probably already bumped into one or two of you back in Wharton.

Oh, and I've got 4 used tires and an unused spare for sale. I've got a bunch of pics I'll post along with details, don't want to clog my TW gallery... any suggestions on a better way to post all at once? Maybe a link to a Google Photos album?

 

Sweet. Make sure you've got some rope extensions (not to mention the extra tree straps). The standard 80/100 ft. of rope goes quick when it actually comes time to do this - the trees aren't gonna be right up near the truck like the dream scenarios they always show on YouTube.

 

Make a craigslist add and link it into the northeast Craigslist finds. All the pics will be in the CL ad and it'll probably help you sell it too.

Couldn't the bracket/perch at the axle end be turned a tad higher?

 

You going heim joints or rubber/poly bushings? And are you doing a fabricated arm or a y link type arm like a "2 link" radius arm jeep suspension?

 

I'm not 100% and I don't have the exact numbers to give you without using a suspensions calculator, but if you turned it up, you effect the separation of the mounting spots which would negatively effect anti squat, which he is somewhat trying to avoid even if the direct intention is addressing axle wrap. They kinda work hand in hand with leaf sprung suspensions.

EDIT: but depending on numbers, the clearance loss might put him past 100% anti squat, at which point he could turn the bracket up without losing any of the anti squat from it still keeping it effective to limit axle wrap which gaining some clearance

Poly bushings except for the front bar pivot. That's a heim. Fabricated arm.

It could but would defeat part of its purpose. The lowest point of the bracket is higher than the lowest point on the diff so no loss of ckearance.
