i had heat by the time I got to the end of my street about 300ft in the winter -20C outside.
But then again I was also plugged in cause I have a block heater lol.

I have noticed though since I have a scangauge and have it for water temps the truck does heat up rather fast. Labourday long weekend was camping up in central ontario and it was 4C (39F) in the morning and overnight and started the truck and within 5-10min idling was already up to 70C.

They definitely heat up quick and I am not complaining as my other car is a 2006 Jetta TDI that the aux heater is broken in. So unless I am on the highway or driving where the engine is constant 2000RPM or higher...I don't get heat in the winter. Known issue for the TDIs was that heater failing, its often as simple as a soldered joint came apart but to repair it requires taking the whole dash apart and usually around a $1800 job if not more. So never fixed it. I'm canadian after all, the cold doesn't bother me.
