^ This is what I did but probably should have sketched the belt routing somewhere convenient. I'd hope there is a diagram in the owner's manual...?

Anyway, modern serpentine belts are made with EPDM which lasts an incredibly long time in this application. You can go 100k easily. If you abuse the engine and live in a severe climate, inspect it (and everything else) more often.

Only change if you visually check it and it has cracks or shreds or makes a lot of noise, otherwise, drive it like you stole it!!

I didn't notice any noise or anything, but decided to replace the belt on my 2.7 because I was at 150k miles. The engine definitely is a bit quieter now.

It doesn't hurt to keep one in the truck for a spare just in case. Never know and it's cheap insurance.

12v always on power point mod, tailgate anti-theft, Addl bed tiedowns, flyzeye dash lights, map lites with dome lite mod, bed stiffeners, air bags, brake controller, always on fog lights,
I changed mine at about 130k and kept the old one as a spare. I googled the belt diagram, printed it, and taped it on top of the fuse box under the hood with clear packing tape. Easy peasy!

Installed Overhead Compass and Temperature Display along with outside temperature sensor and wiring; LED lights reverse backup; LED license plate lights; Added GTA Bluetooth Audio kit to stock radio for iphone audio; Spare tire steel braided air hose extension connection to rear bumper; Installed new headlights along with new bulbs PIAA H4 XTreme and for fog lights PIAA H10 XTreme bulbs. Installed new hood with "hood-scoop". Installed Predator Side Steps. Replaced front chrome grill with customized color matched (Desert Sand Mica) grill with added TOYOTA lettering (also in matched color), installed and secured tailgate anti-theft devices. Also installed a new external TPMS monitor for all 4 tires.
Heck I just changed mine about a month or two ago for the very first time since I first bought it brand new back in 2008. Mileage on the odometer is way passed the 200,000 mark. I went ahead and replaced it with a Toyota OEM one anyway just to keep peace of mind.

Carefully inspect the belt (with a flashlight and get under the truck to get a closeup look) and look for any cracking, brittle marks, stress cracks, etc. If you do see these then I wouldn't wait another day and just replace the serpentine belt.

Either way since your Tacoma is a 2007, I would just replace it regardless. You can always keep the old one handy in your Tacoma's rear storage compartment just in case of emergencies (that is if it is still in good shape) that's what I did.

I think every 10years/100k miles or when it starts getting a lot of cracks in it. If the belt breaks on these trucks it can shred and get behind the harmonic balancer and take out the front seal.
Time between changes can vary a lot depending on how you drive your vehicle and how many miles you put on in a respective amount of time... time is generally harder on things than miles, imo. My Tacoma has been garage kept for the majority of its life, all the rubber components on my truck still look great compared to my brothers Tacoma, despite mine being 3 years older than his and having more than twice as many miles as his.... the difference? Mine has been stored out of the sun and heat as much as possible.
