Noticed that there are some on lots in my region. Thinking hard about a 2017, if I can save some $. Otherwise, if I'm paying msrp, probably wait for a 2018. Color is not a huge deal, so...
Just wondering if there's a reason to grab one now.

    Thanks!

I don't think anyone here will be able to answer your question. Your best bet is to go in and haggle, and if you don't like the price, don't buy it.

If you want a cement one buy it now.
If you can get a deal buy one now.
If you want the safety sense wait to buy one.

I don't see why not. I paid under MSRP a tad over a year ago now for my '17 cement pro.

If you don't care about color, whats the allure of paying a $ premium for a pro?

Buy a TRD Sport or a TRD Off Road, and put a better suspension in it yourself.

If I were wanting a 17 Pro I would wait until the 2018 Cement Offroads start hitting the streets. I think a lot of people will trade in their Pro's because their exclusive color, isn't exclusive anymore.

Also, I find it amazing that you have "some on lots" in your region. Usually they don't hit the lot because it is spoken for long before it shows up to the dealerships. I have never, never seen one at a dealership. Most wont get one. Pretty cool to have them around like that. If they are sitting around on a lot, they aren't selling for whatever reason. If that's the case, you should get a decent price.

    Poor $ to value proposition?

Late in the current model cycle, and hopeful for discounts or new gadgetry on '18's ?

I tried with several dealerships around the country, and none would budge. The one closest to me had it marked up $2k over MSRP, and it sold in a week. Most places I call already have the truck sold by the time I call. It's worth noting that I am looking for a manual transmission only though, so I'm playing with a much smaller market in terms of supply.

I was being facetious, and very doubtful. None of the reasons you listed would make any difference to most people. Even though it should.
