Well guys, the AR9 is very close to done. Need a hand brace, buffer sping of some sort, and a grip. I just buy parts when I find a good deal. Its like a game haha!

Anyone have a good solution for a vertical mount for a rifle in my closet? muzzle up or down doesn't matter...but would like to be able to keep the mag in the rifle

Are you looking for a lockable mount or just something to hold it in place?
@docloco 's build thread has a clever way to mount a rifle in the truck, but it can be used in a closet as well.

If security isn't an issue (kids/guests), then I don't see why a quickfist around the hand guard wouldn't work.

I would just screw a wall hanger like this into a stud and hang the rifle by the stock and buffer tube.

    JB...

Check these guys out they have some unique stuff that may work I saw them at the last local gun show here a few months back....

The stuff looked like it was well built and solid and coated with some kind of rubber like coating..

I feel like a quickfist mounted to the wall would work well and provide some retention as well.

That’s why I really like fourms like this, you really get exposed to info you would otherwise not have knowledge of.
