Just so everyone understand what scorch looks like and why it's not a good thing. The bowl is cast aluminum with a special chroming process. The excess UV literally burns that chrome off and you no longer reflect light which turns your output to garbage. Nothing melts, it just ruins a good headlight assembly. See image.
