Washing your truck also shaves 1-2 seconds off of your 1/4 mile time. :D

    YMMV, but I didn't.

    My PRE-S/C mileage averaged ~18.5MPG, while POST-S/C averages ~17.5MPG.
(Average for me is a combination of highway and city driving, without much WOT.)

I lost 1-2 mpg but I didn't get the Tacoma for it's stellar fuel economy. Highway speed limits are 75 here so my average MPG was already terrible. I'm around 16-17 mixed conditions.

Towing my travel trailer (why I got the SC) - 10-12 on a good day.

    I love (hate) when I go to the dealer for parts and the salesmen bombard me with "buy this prius it's way better on gas than that guzzler, or isn't it time to trade up that old thing for a real truck you deserve a Tundra or whatever," I always tell them the same thing;

    It's and auto right?

Yeah triptronick 57 speed hydrodryoxide tripple plate autoblah blah blah.

Yeah sorry I've never driven an auto and don't want to learn.

Oh it's really easy you just... Wait...

They're usually confused long enough for me to slip by them and get to the parts counter.

The ones who are faster on the ball always says something like:

Well that Tacoma is an auto.

    Nope, it's a stick.

    They don't sell stick Tacoma's

They do, you just have to order them.

    No they don't.

Well you wanna tell me what my second "brake pedal" is for then?

    :D

Another way to increase HP is to change out the air in your tires. Old air in tires lowers HP by as much as 5% cause it gets stale, while fresh new air increases HP by 5% due to the airiness of being new.

The best way to do this is to make sure you air down to 15-12psi a minimum of twice monthly, it helps to circulate the air in the tires while it's low by driving over uneven terrain as well. As we all know the freshest stuff is in the back.

Very true, it’s like at the grocery store how they try to put the food with that earliest expiration date up front so you end up grabbing that one instead of the food behind it with a much later expiration date...... shady

Ehh... More like 4.5 with a max of 5.5 boost. In stock config on the SC I never saw 6 psi of boost ever. At sea level at that! Then again. I had the stock intake air cleaner on.

aires 3D mats, scan gauge II, rear differential breather relocation, and bakflip G2 bed cover.
Go from 265 to 245 tires will give you the most power for your money.

No, no. Tires cost more than URD MAF calibrator.
