20% coupons can not be used on trailers. Still, they go on sale all the time and the sale price is slightly better than the 20%.

Yeah no trailers is in the fine print of those coupons- you say you've seen this trailer on sale for even more off? The lowest I have seen is 338.99

Sorry about that. I just got the October sale booklet and the trailer is at full price. I read the fine print on the 20% off coupon and was going to repost but I see you guys had it covered already.

The exclusions on the 20% and 25% off coupons have been being expanded for some time--most "big ticket" stuff is no longer eligible...

Yup--that's about it. I went to buy a lousy and found that the "Admiral" brand was excluded. At $5 it was a good deal (and it has proven to be a good blade in a cheap Ryobi 18 V saw). However the "fantastic savings" 20/25% off coupons are becoming less and less worthwhile...

Absolutly! I can deal with buying products that I know are inferior, if I get it for a low enough price. I am buying less and less from HF since they keep adding more things to the exclusion list. If I'm going to pay a premium price, I'm not buying HF.

Their quality peaked 6 to 8 years ago and has been languishing since. They've introduced new lines of cordless tools, however the price range of same, limited tool selection (drills and impact drivers only at this time), and that the 20/25% off coupons do not apply makes them no go's to my mind.

For happy-homeowner and even light commercial I am liking Ryobi's latest stuff (I have older Milwaukee and DeWalt 20+ V¹ tools as well); even a couple of contractors I know are using them as "two, three or four job throwaways"--and the batteries are as good as anyone's...

    ------------------------------------
¹ - Which is a crock, all 18 V lithium packs charge to 20 V or so initially.

I'm off work in about an hour. Hopefully.. Anyways I have a couple HF coupons I want to stop and use on my way home. Free batteries and 20% off. I don't really "need" anything. Anybody have any suggestions for something I could pick up??

Thats the great thing about harbor freight, for DIYers they have so much I can always find something I could use in the garage.

One day I was walking in and held the door open for a guy probably in his 80s.... as he shuffled by me he mumbled "Time to buy some more shit I don't need"

Now every time I go there I have that thought going through my head.

Nothing at HF is even close to being considered premium price.

I'd skip the batteries and go with a different free item. Batteries are the one thing I consistently hear not to buy. I think I saw a coupon for their angle grinder for $9.99.

Edit: Found the coupon for ya:
    http://www.hfqpdb.com/best_coupon/4-1_2"+ANGLE+GRINDER

Edit 2: For the free item, I'd go with the tarp, magnetic dish, or light. Can never have too many of those laying around. The screwdrivers are nice too if you can find a free coupon for that.

Their new Bauer and Hercules cordless drills and impact drivers are close to it--Within 90% of Ryobi and DeWalt. The Hercules stuff looks and feels good but I'd have a hard time paying . Maybe they will prove themselves in time...

I agree 110%, the free carbon zinc batteries are crap. I had a package of them that were leaking when I opened it up...

Anyone have experience with the HF 2-stage vacuum pump? I'm wondering if it's ear-bleeding loud like their compressors.
