HAVE 285/60/18 WITH AFTERMARKET RIMS, 1.5 SPACERS, AND 2"LEVEL UP FRONT. WITH THAT STILL RUBS AT FULL TURN. WAS THINKING SPINDLE LIFT WITH A 4 INCH REAR BLOCK. WILL THAT CLEAR AND WHAT ABOUT ABS SENSOR FOR THE FRONT?

    What does it rub on?

Seems most people need to do a bunch of cutting/trimming/hammering to get 285s to fit.

    Welcome to TW

I'm sorry about the caps. No yelling here. It is a prerunner. The 285's are going bye bye. But the 2 inch level states it clears 32's, bit I guess not in 285 width. I just want to get the right set up without the rub going to 33's. I'll keep the 2 inch +the spindle=6 inch. The rear at 4"will keep it level. Just can't have the front rub.

Jibbs, the 285's rub on the metal frame at the rear of the front frame work. Plastic was trimmed and mud guards removed already.

I plan on Maxtrac spindles, but I hear the abs sensor wires are not long enough for the upgrade. Any idea there?

I've got a 3 inch lift and 285/75/16s if that means anything.

No it doesn't because you basically have him useless information. Sorry that sounds harsh, I am just kidding. But for real without stating how you made the tires fit it doesn't help the OP at all.

I ran 285/75/16 on 2.5" lift with minimal rubbing but I had aftermarket UCAs, dialing in caster helped a lot. Finally had my cab mount chop done and won't scrub again after that (now running an inch more of lift but CMC would've fixed it without the lift).

I used an ICON stage 1 lift that is 3 inches in the front with Toytec progressive AAL 2 inches with the factory overload removed. Fits perfectly. Oh and no one gives a crap about your personal anecdotes so next time you post, remember that.

Pull out the front shocks, put the wheels back on, and set the truck back on the ground. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock. Cut off anything the tire touches. Put the shocks back on. You'll never rub again.

You need to cut, not lift more. A lift kit does not change the path the wheel travels when the suspension cycles. Sounds like you need a cab mount chop.

Before you do anything though, get a new keyboard because it appears that your caps lock is broken.

What size tire do you plan to replace the 285s with? I'm running 255/85/16 and rub only on full turn going over bumps (mudflaps). Im running 5100s with 884s set at 0 in the front, AAL in the rear, stock wheels with Spidertrax spacers.
    Bumper is trimmed.
