Yeah on initial exposure cold is best, let the soap/tecnu do the work and carry the oils off of you and your equipment instead of letting it soak into your skin. Now that you've had it for a while I'm not sure if hot/cold makes a difference. Tecnu is supposed to help relieve some of the itching, so you could still try it, but if you have any open sores or anything I don't think you're supposed to get it in those. The last time I had it really badly I tried an oat bath, which seemed to help. I don't remember what it was but some sort of oatmeal something or other designed for baths.

I actually got a steroid shot that time, too, in addition to the prednisone tabs. I think that helped the most, so see if you can get that. Good luck, man, I don't think I've ever had it as bad as you've got it. Can't even imagine 75% of my body covered in PO!

Looks like she already has the rack tracks on the roof. Should be able to use either Yakima or Thule components to mount the tent to.

I was making love to the Oak for 2 days and touched about everything! I am going to take a rag with Alcohol and wipe the shit out of everything! Its been well over a week now and I am itching so bad I look like a fucking tweeker! And it seems like my left eyelid has it pretty bad because my eye has been swollen since day 1!
I am seriously looking into goats...

But yes If we could drop bumps that blew Sumac/PO into a 3 mile radius our enemies would be severely compromised (Well at least 85% would since 15% are immuned) They would be too busy itching to fight, lol.

I imagine the dropping poison oak will cross the Geneva convention's outline of "use of chemical warfare" during war. Hope for a swift recovery Jason.

The poison oak that I got years ago took weeks to show up, and even months after it was already gone, I would get little spots here and there showing up from random stuff that still had the oil on it. I think alcohol is a great tool to neutralize the oil however gasoline and a struck match seems to work well as a last resort.

If you haven’t already bought some Teknu (it’s a liquid that washes PO off your skin and your clothes) do it now. That stuff is magic. Seriously!

Meanwhile Im itching like a tweeker all day! I need to get some of that stuff ASAP as well as a couple gallons of alcohol to wipe everything I touched and I touched a LOT of stuff, ha!

Get a bunch of tecnu liquid and wipe your stuff down with that. It works better than alcohol. There is a medicated tecnu for your skin (see link below). You can order it on Amazon.

I just did, got some special ointment, that 32oz Tecnu bottle and some urushiol removal soap stuff.
They even have some pre-contact wipes that may be a good idea as well.

I had to get a massive dose of IV steroids on Sunday to help, it became fully systemic! You know its bad when you have it in your bloodstream, lol.
Now Im taking benadryl every 6 hours in order to control it.

But I got all my house stuff moved finally, and need to be out by this Saturday at the old place. I have a ton of stuff in the garage, gonna be a lot of moving, if anyone is bored between now and Saturday, let me know, I could really use some help moving all my crap over to the new place 2 miles away. Ill supply pizza and beers!!! :D

My place looks nothing like the last time you guys saw it! Been getting a lot of stuff done despite that Fking plant trying to kill me, ha!

Glad you finally got the stuff you need to conquer that shit! I don't think I'll have time to get by during the week. If I could come by for a while on Saturday to help you finish up with moving stuff would that be helpful? I know @Drainbung said he was going to try and get by to help as well.
