My other uncle shot this last night, at 300 yards. Didn't know he had a broken third, pictures don't do him justice.

I had, I mean GOT, to drive out 2 hours this morning to help pack it out....

Also my cousin shot a cow last night, backed the truck through some pretty tall sage brush to get to it (private property). Woulda drug it but we wanted to keep it clean. No picture either.

Now all there is is my cow tag and maybe a friend muzzleloader tag.

Plugged this yote today head on in the chest at 100 yds with the .222 Remington. We were calling for a good 1/2 hour and had just decided to call it when he showed. My buddy missed (I think he hit some brush), so I cleaned up. Got him skinned, rinsed (he was a bloody mess), and into the pickle. Since I had to cross a raging river to retrieve him, and carry his sorry butt another mile after that, not to mention the skinning time, I sure hope the tan works out well.IMG_20171001_141604.jpg IMG_20171001_133456006.jpg IMG_20171001_150652333.jpg

Nice two man limit of Canada's on Friday evening with one banded bird.

Quick shoot the next morning in the marsh.

I think it's going to be a good season, had nice high water levels all summer and had a good local hatch. Bit of cooler weather on the way so should get the birds on the move.

This dog (and hopefully some clan members this weekend) are being thinned to protect my buddy's retrievers during duck season.

Its funny how people say they wont shoot them...until you tell them they kill fawns, turkeys, grouse, quail etc...Ive shot a few coyotes and they are always on my hit list...

If you haven't done it before, try tying the body to the stick next time. It helps keep the deer from swaying side to side while carrying and makes it a lot easier to manage.

so I don't really know where to put this, what do you guys think?

I found this petroglyph kinda of out in the middle of no where, no humans around. Not even off the side of a trail or anything.

And then I noticed this today, I don't remember if it's been there forever but I think it's crazy how it's the same thing. These things are miles away from each other. Anyone know anything about petroglyphs?IMG_1695.jpg
