Finally got a chance to get out of the shop and hit the ocean. Big Bluefin have been pretty generous in local waters this year. I was lucky enough to hang a couple. Broke first one off at color and landed the second one. Went 160#

The drum season has begun. One of many I expect to get the next 2 months.

Just got back from a 1.5 day trip out of SanDiego. Helped to catch our boat limit after limiting out ourselves. 8 of mine bit the popper...

    Nice. I haven't caught a weakie in a while.
You mentioned the Fluke season closing Sep. 5 (in NJ)... The regs in our area are idiotic. Delaware has no closed season for fluke, Del and NJ are catching the same fish in the same waters...Go figure?!?

How's the weather looking down there? I see Dare County sent out a mandatory evacuation order for visitors.

Windy, rainy, cars getting sand blasted. Nothing more than a mild nor'easter. I believe they issued the evacuation when the track was closer to the coast. There's some minor flooding in Ocracoke though and I don't think the ferry dock is accessible right now due to overwash. So it was probably a good call to get the visitors out.

My 1.5 day trip got canceled the morning I was supposed to leave. I was so bummed. We were going after these. But to make up for it I'm going on Theo day trips and a weekend trip to Catalina

Last minute trip turned out nice today. Big ass redfish with a heart shaped dot on his tail, a couple of decent specks & reds, and tagged a few that were too small to keep.

Took a trip to lake Mille Lacs earlier this year with a few buddies and had an absolute blast. The small mouth were on fire, at least for our boat. We also put a few walleye in the boat too.

Bonus tiger musky from a few days ago.

Fishing is my life, so pretty sure I'll be a regular here.
