Just on my way over to pick up the boat and head on down Cape Cod for a day of Tuna Fishing....not anymore. Tried to use the A/C and it was blowing warm air, then the Heat Gauge went off on the dash. Pulled over and there was red coolant pouring out of the passenger side of the radiator. Right in the corner. Hoping that a hose got loose but couldn't find anything. It was just after 3pm and service closed when the GM got me a loaner Sienna. No fishing trip and there are no rental trucks around.

    I have a 2017 Sport with 12k miles...anyone else have this issue?

That sucks. Air conditioner is not tied to the radiator or heater core though. Rock through the radiator? Have you modded it in any way?

No mods, no coolant leaked from overflow. I do not off road. It leaked out of the blue like this but after reading a thread here on Coolant hose, I did have a faint smell of coolant off and on for a few months. Dismissed it since it went away. No overheating until today.

That's right. I wonder why the a/c was blowing hot air? That's crazy.

Only thing I can think that would cause both to fail is a rock through the ac condenser and radiator. Good luck man.

I have a 2017 Sport with 28k miles and haven't had any similar issues or smells. If the engine is overheating it can have a noticeable affect on the AC.

If he were not moving very fast, the A/C condenser relies on the clutch fan just like the radiator. If the radiator wasn't getting warm due to a coolant leak, the clutch fan wouldn't pull air through the condenser and the A/C would feel warm.

If he were moving at speed this would be a moot point.

Just updating the thread. No questions asked Toyota replaced. Took 3 days to get a radiator. There was a crack at the bottom.
