    So, 2010 4.0 Tacoma.....

    I got a P0430 code and a P0420 code. Truck has 110,000miles

I replaced both rear O2 sensors, and cleared the code. (Spark plugs replaced recently too)

The codes stayed off for about a month. Then the P0430 returned. I replaced the upstream O2 sensor on that side and ran some “cataclean” through the tank. No change. Still have the P0430 code.

Obviously P0430 is referencing the catalytic converter. But should a cat really go bad after 100,000miles? That seems ridiculous.

While searching this forum I stumbled on several people who referenced fuel pressure.... My truck, every couple of days or starts will need cranked twice or need a solid 5second crank time to start, pushing the gas pedal briefly seems to help. Lots of threads point to the fuel pump, and even suggested that way back when this truck would have had a warranty it may have been a tsb. A few folks even say replacing the fuel pump eliminated the P0430, the fuel pump causing a “lean” condition......

Any suggestions or advice on what worked for you? At a crossroads of replacing manifold/cat, replacing fuel pump, or buying a simulator..........
