Send an oil sample in to blackstone. They’ll tell you that you’re throwing money away and your oil is still great for another 10k miles

I understand old habits are hard to break but it’s literally throwing away good oil. Shit Toyota Ford and GM have their intervals at 7500.

My 3rd gen manual says 10k mile between oil changes :anonymous:

    And it's 0-20W.

I still change it at 5k.

    This is America god damnit.

Did you know Britney Spears only wore underwear one time before throwing it away?

    Fucking freedom trendsetter.

    Ain’t my money.

I also am neurotic with my maintenance and tracking maintenance and making sure things are done. But I hate wasting money more than anything.

Not my money either It’s Toyota’s money. I take my truck in every 4K miles.
We have a lab we use at work for our equipment. I’m gonna send in a sample just for shits and giggles.

Anybody have one of those truck bed nets? Trying to see if I can borrow one for a few days for this move. Going to have the trailer and truck bed loaded

Not necessarily true. I do believe it's smart to send in your oil based on what brand you are using, weight, and driving habits along with environment is going to change distances between intervals.

But not everyone that sends in their oils gets back the same results.

I always thought conventional was 5 and synthetic was 10

I think synthetic is 7 and conventional 3500. Now I think it depends on the vehicle

You are most likely correct but I enjoy myself.

I'm sure I'll get past it but I've been doing my oil changes at 3k forever so 5k now and maybe 10k in the future.

Probably depends more on your driving habits, and whether or not you tow a trailer or carry a huge camper rig.
