I second this.
I would like to add as a side note, I feel like this tune will help with the long term reliability of the engine and tranny.

 

This says that they are the same. They are refined differently at the refinery.

 

update for next week
- updated instructions publish on site tomorrow
- a lot of pending status kits go out tomorrow
- wrapping up some 1.02C shifting parameters and we should have a working update next week (everyone waiting on files will receive)

I think AT owners will really enjoy what we've done with shifting so far

It doesn't come with any tune already loaded, but most likely yes once you you send him the info from your vehicle and he returns a tune file to you. It will likely be 1.02 C.

Just finished some mall crawling. This tune feels incredible at low low speeds. Something Toyota couldn’t accomplish.

I am enjoying 1.01b in my M/T, it makes the truck run great. Pulls well at low RPM, and as a little test on some dirt roads I tried 2nd gear @ 1000RPM in 4hi (I think that equates to right around 18km/hr). It would just pull itself along up small hills and if I fed it just a bit of throttle it would actually pick up speed rather than chug a lug lug lug (stock). It's also great on the highway, almost feels effortless. Man.. if my truck came from the factory like this, Mat would be out $765 for sure.
One thing's for sure, whatever Mat has in store with the new tunes I hope it doesn't fuck with the low/mid range power that's present in 1.01.b!!

Would I like even less throttle lag and rev hang? Sure, but this build is close to what I want.

nothing to worry about for you. 1.02 has an obvious power bump from 1.01... but hey, we're talking about the unicorn over here, eh? there is more power on the table for the MT's. the ability to feather the throttle and modulate the rear end's torque load is so great, much more than i'm recalling 1.01. and even though it's pretty direct and linear now, you can still tell it's a DBW system. having watched Mat on FB and seeing some of his other tunes develop for other vehicles, i'm sure he'll get the details nailed for us. that's such a bonus, because for now i have literally zero complaints.
