Rock Auto discount code?

Anyone have a discount code? The one on the vendor page expired on the 9th. and their customer service is basically telling me to take a flying leap. I posted on the vendor thread for an new one but so far n reply. I have items in the cart but haven't pulled the trigger.

 

That'd be a pretty abrupt change of tune from them to tell you to take a leap.

Sure, let me clarify. This is my conversation with customer service. By flying leap I should have said they offered zero resolution.

Dear Scott,

Discount codes are automatically created and emailed to you. If you have a valid discount code or store credit associated with your Account email address, the code will appear under the "Account Activity" tab.

If you do not have a valid discount code, we will send you one approximately one month after an order is placed. We do not have a way of sending discount codes outside of this process.

I have never received a discount code in the way you describe it. I have used the forum discount that I have takes a screen shot of.

I would have accepted "Sorry we do not have a discount code for Tacoma World at this time" instead of vagueness.

 

I meant more like I'd be more inclined to think you talked to a bad rep as opposed to them no longer offering discounts.

They've been pretty good here with service so far, so hopefully nothing has changed and a brighter bulb with chime in with an updated code or confirm the discount is not available any longer.

The coupon is for when you order is a discount on your next order. So I see why they don't just give them out. ...codes are easy to find though

 

When Rock Auto started their TV advertising, it looked like they were getting successful, and when that happens, usually loyal customer service suffers. Who needs TW after after graduating from a start up?

 

The forum code is for the current order, that is how it has worked for me. I have not had a code for a future order.....

 

Everytime you order they send a code for 5% off it is on the receipt. So once you have ordered from them you have a new code for a future order. ...
