Because everything has to be posted on Tacoma World to be official right???? Why don’t you ask some guys in the truck scene from Oahu who I am. I sent over 20 engine conversion harnesses on Oahu alone. You probably don’t know any one huh? Just flexing in the mirror at home with your Bachelors from Clemson. But you didn’t mention that either. Enough of the jokes. Sorry. I’m sure your mechanically inclined to maybe figure things out. But we all know you didn’t come up with that kit all by yourself. Just admit it already. You would have never brought “your kit” to anyones attention because you did not EXECUTE it completely. It was all speculation. If not, why not post it on Tacoma World to make it official before I did.

It's executed and running perfectly :)
I have given credit to BamaToy1997, who brought it to our attention- read above.
I didn't post publicly because I wasn't sure if I could have it manufactured. Once it was, I had to fully test it before I presented it here- I respect this forum.

Of course it’s EXECUTED, NOW! AFTER the fact I EXECUTED MY KIT!!! See a trend here Bucky????? The only reason I posted it on here was because a friend of mine @bullaculla asked me to, and I thought it could be useful for other Toyota enthusiasts. Do I make a fortune on the kits? Nope! All that money goes into Genuine Toyota Parts. You’ll realize that in a year or two. Did I read all the archives on Tacoma World back to 2012 when I signed up??? Nope! Didn’t know I had to! I respect anyone on these Forums that put THEIR time and post THEIR knowledge for everyone to benefit, but I don’t respect anyone that will claim an idea to be theirs when it’s really not. I wasn’t brought up that way. Most people from Hawaii weren’t.

Personally, I wouldn't buy either kit because you both are acting like children and I don't see a real use for these.

Damn, sorry to start something in this thread….but I do remember seeing that done before. To me this product does matter cause ive had to change cv shafts on my brothers 04 4runner and have gone thru a few sets of wheel bearing/hub assemblies on that and my truck, its kinda bs. Having a part time selection is ideal, definitely not cheap, but if youre building something to keep in the long run, nothing will be cheap. Having the manufacturer around who you bought it from will matter, as time goes by which product is proven to last and who will be around longer to back there product. I dont know Sideline hero personally but from seeing his work, its something I would trust as many others have as he has built there truck. Just as Jesse, I dont have any use for this product, as we dont own anything right now that these cv shafts and hubs will work on…plus id rather just do what sideline hero did to his truck.

On the other side, free shipping from trailgear to Hawaii….lucky big island guys has a tg dealer too. ;)

Here's my view from the sidelines. Chad has jumped in with both feet and recently received a 389 lb shipment of CV joints. He has put effort and money into designing this CV joint to accomplish the end result. The price for his kit is certainly very reasonable. However, even though the company that made the CV joints only makes CV joints, it's unknown what the quality is. Will replacement joints still be available a year from now? 5 years from now? Nobody knows. Although Chad has good intentions, anything can happen. If it takes him 3 years to sell his present stock, is he going to buy another 389 lbs? I have bought products before that are no longer supported by the manufacturer. When it fails, you have no choice but to scrap it.

On the other hand, sideline has taken a more conservative approach in producing a combination shaft that mates to an OEM CV joint. As he has stated, future shafts will be machined from Chromolly. Chromolly is incredibly strong and will hold up far in excess to any OEM shaft. OEM style 1st gen CV joints will always be available. Sideline has not put his products into production yet and it's unknown if it will be 6 months, a year or never. Even if a person bought Sidelines kit in the future and the shaft failed, and Sideline is no longer selling shafts, it would still be very easy to have a custom shaft made from other sources. A custom CV joint, not so easy.

Chad claims to have tested his products extensively. How much testing can you do on an island? Although I applaud Chad on his efforts, buying his kit is still a gamble. Even though the CV joints are not turning during everyday driving, they are still flexing with every bump and turn. How these CV joints will hold up to something as taxing as the Rubicon is unknown at this point. So until a few people take a leap of faith and put them to real world, long term testing, we will never know the longevity.
