Taco box length (one size fits all???) 4 door vs Access

I'm sure I could just ask a local dealer here in Canada, but wanted to ask the experts here, who I'm sure have done their diligence before buying your Taco.

For 2017-18 models, does the 4 door model have a smaller box than the Access cab model? Are there 2 options (long box, short box)???

Most double cab are short bed. There are a hard to find double cab with long beds.

 

Do I assume the Access cab is automatically a long box?

 

yes.

 

Yep. That's the only configuration they come in. The Access cab and the double cab short bed are the same overall length. The double cab long bed is an overall longer truck.

 

Incorrect for Canada. Majority of double cabs are long beds. Only in 2017 did they offer double cab TRD Off Roads with short beds. (Auto tranny)

 

Coma Toy, did you get a new truck yet? I see you're also in Ottawa. I ordered my 2016 from Russell Power at Mendes, he was great and easy to deal with. I got $2K off MSRP with no BS and that was back when the third gen had just been released (ordered Nov 2015) so you should be able to do even better now. I was very specific about the configuration and colour I wanted so I had to order a truck, it took about 10 weeks to get it.

In Canada, here are some of the configurations of Tacoma V6 4x4's that we get:

Access Cab TRD Off Road (6 ft box) available with a manual or an automatic

Double Cab TRD Off Road (5 ft box) only available with an automatic

Double Cab TRD Sport upgrade package (5 ft box) only available with a manual

Double Cab SR5 (6 ft box) only available with an automatic
Double Cab TRD Sport (6 ft box) only available with an automatic
Double Cab TRD Sport upgrade package (6 ft box) only available with an automatic

Double Cab TRD Pro (5 ft box) available with a manual or an automatic
