On a side note, I'd be driving to get a lottery ticket after this.

Is this the dumb ass kid that paid for a trip to North Korea using a travel agency that advertises "Trips to places your mom doesn't want you to go"? Such beautiful locations like Iraq, Syria, and other "hot spots".

Not condoning what was done, but this is a clear cut case of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

"Student" in China goes on a "vacation" to North Korea, and we wonder why he was treated like a spy? Should we expect anything less? Should he?

    Weiner still out!

[IMG]© Splash News Online Just hours after Anthony Weiner was sentenced Monday to 21 months in prison with three years probation for sending sexually explicit messages and photos to a 15-year-old girl, the former New York congressman was seen leaving his apartment building in Manhattan.

Weiner, 53, wore a blue T-shirt and orange Mets baseball cap as he made his way onto the subway after his court hearing, and caused some to wonder why he was not yet behind bars.

Weiner will begin serving time on Nov. 6. He also must register as a sex offender after his prison term is complete and cannot appeal his sentence due to his guilty plea.

Seems fake, not even in a parking spot and that tree would have flexed down at least a few inches when it hit the ground.

This line of thinking is logical and makes sense. You're obviously in the wrong thread.

Politicians get special treatment. Not like the rest of us that would go to jail as soon as we are sentenced.

False, my brother had several months to get his affairs in order before having to report to prison. Not saying saying politician never get special treatment though.

Actually one of the things that made me laugh was guys on here all worried about air-ride, helper springs, auxiliary cooling fans, finding the best source of surplus tank armor to weld frame reinforcements, etc. just to drag a 300lb aluminum teardrop out to the lake for the weekend and Frankie's dad just clamped the Scotty to the bumper of the old Buick and turned her straight into the center of the Zombie storm front...

I wonder sometimes if it's not the machines that have changed, but the people.

Honestly if I had to bug out I wouldn't be taking my 2016. I'd be taking the '84 pretty much 100% of the time.

I've just started thinking about a surplus M1009... the military full-size Blazer from the '80's-'90's. Apparently they made a ton of 'em, but they saw somewhat limited service intervals (compared to the HMMWV)... the mileage would suck, and they're starting to get pretty old, but probably be able to get a yard full of them for parts and pieces and still not spend any real money.

Agreed, I live in the Silverton/Durango area and previously Telluride ('70's). Nearly every pass the 4x4 crowd brags about was driven by kids in 50's and 60's VW Beetles before you could even buy a pick-up with factory-made 4x4. I'm always amused when I hike back into Silverton after a work trip and hear all the braggadocio on Greene Street! Yeah, that old guy across the street drove that for years in his 2wd pickup...just keep talking about your mods and how they made it possible!.

I still remember the smell of our 1008s and 1009s. Funky. Plastic and mildew and old canvas.

    That said...

They’d do really well off road. Plus, pintle hooks...and you can get parts at Autozone. Can’t say that about old humvees.
