hi ive read some threads (not all) and was wondering if anyone who did the 3" on 35s fender cut mod has replaced their plastic guard for the fender-well.

lol. with 33's (285/75R16's) you can expect a cab mount chop, inner fender removal and pinch weld flattening if you want shit to fit. 35's unless you get some spc UCA's to move everything forward with proper alignment numbers... you are looking at pounding the firewall A LOT

Any idea what the optimal setting on the spcs is? If the ball joint gets rotated all the way to the forward position, would the firewall still need to be pounded in? Mines already hammered in a bit too clear 33"s. Just wondering how much more I'd need to do to clear 35"s if I set up the spcs right.

I cut 2-1/2 inches off of fender and flare and all the hammering etc. I'm trying to fit the plastic guard from under the wheel wells to prevent the mud from caking.. is there a preferred route that someone has tried?

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
i reused my liners. Just slid, flipped, etc then trimmed to get roughly where i wanted them. Drilled holes in fenders to ziptie liner to. Flares cover the zipties.

I also sprayed a few heavy coats of plastidip up in there before putting in liners to help seal it more.

First go full negative on the front lower cams and go full positive on the rear cams. Then my SPCs are set at position C i think. Great clearance on the firewall and decent caster. And a CMC of course. I have homemade fender liners too. Ill need to load pics.

No problem. I did flatten the pinch weld as well. And of course adjust the camber with the SPCs, and set the toe. But people don't realize how much caster/clearance you can get from the LCA cams. Especially if you can adjust camber with the SPCs.

Yea my pinch weld is flat, my fire wall is even pounded in a bit and I'm not worried about the fenders. My biggest concern was not having to tub the firewall for 35s. If I can run then safely without a tub by changing my ball joint position... I'm now completely sold on joining the dirty five gang.

Heres some of what i did, aluminum for the front and plastic in the rear. Its still a work in progress, just got the rear done for now. It seems to keep most on the water and mud out.

My tires dont even touch the firewall at full stuff. They are now hitting the top of the inner fenders. lol
