What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I know this is a longshot, but does anyone know if 3rd gen seats will line up in a 2ng gen? Saw a pro up close last week and was really digging their leather seats...

Installed a bumper! I'm waiting on installing a dual battery system before I hook up the lights and winch. I also have a skid plate on the way... After all this stuff I'll probably have to get stiffer springs up front!

Installed the shortie as well, and also the 1/4" spacers on both sides. Making room for 35's... Slowly but surely.... As you will see I the pic, these tires still have lots of tread on them; as they should if their guaranteed for 65,000 miles...

as for dimensions, i went 10cm from the absolute top of the lock the seam where the console and latch meet
as seen here;



now i actually eyeballed all of this. where the latch is flush with the top i sort of made a hole and sanded it out with a drill and a dremel sanding bit until it got the perfect fit. When i initially put in the the cabinet lock it wouldnt let me lock it because it kept striking the centre console latch. i freaked out a bit (knowing there was a big hole in my centre console) and went to home depot and bought longer cabinet locks. Didnt work dimension wise and was freaking out even more. all i did to correct the problem was I took the bent latch and flattened it out a bit with a single C clamp on my working table until it gave a small gap just so that the console could close, but not open. you can sorta see in the second photo that the bent latch looks a bit wonky, that is thanks to yours truly.

OK peeps, figured I'd post this here since this thread gets a lot of attention. No point in starting a new thread. Picked up this dash cam for what I think was a no brainer deal. Never had one so this was a good way to get my "foot in the door". Trying to figure out how and where to mount it, so would like to see pics of your set up if you have one.

It came with a cigarette lighter plug, to power it. Long cord so I could try and tuck/hide it depending on where I put it. Also trying to find a suction cup mount instead of using the 3M sticky stuff it came with.

So... GO!!!! Show me what you run set up wise for your dash cam, PLEASE!

Basically... got it from @ramonortiz55 . Super happy with it so far, and I've only played with it for a few minutes on my lunch break today.

 

Truck day all day! Finally had a day off and spent it all on mods. Installed my rear differential breather extension and Redline Tuning hood struts. Also flipped my spare over, cleaned it and topped it off with air.

 

Major props to David K for his how to on the breather mod. Made the process way easier!

 

Attached a heater hose to the A/C condensate drain so it drains below the frame, and applied fluid film to the undercarriage!
