    You know, I don't blame you one bit! Historically, Cajuns were poor white farmers defended from French Exiles. Cajun is just a bastardization of Acadian, and there are Acadians up in Maine. However the Cajuns of today are all types, and we like it that way!

    Cajun food is also a mix of Creole, Spanish, French and other cuisines. Not that you'd be able to get good Cajun food up here in New England.
