Very clean. Nice work! Any issues with the hardware bending the railing? I have heavy duty rods and reals for ocean fishing and don't want to damage the rail or the rods.

You guys are awesome.... I’d been racking my brain trying to figure out the best way to cleanly mount a rod holder.

looking to do something similar but I have a cap on so I can't run the exact way you shown. I'd like to have my rods up off the bed somehow.

I have a set up in my other vehicle (Honda crv) where the rods suspend inside, I can hold up to an 8’ rod. assuming you have a 6’ bed, you could do the same but if you have longer rod you’ll have to break them down. This is similar to what I have.

Just get a port-a-rod and call it a day. Can be installed and uninstalled within a matter of seconds.

It’s a solid investment if you’ll be using it frequently IMO. I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s held up great. But I got mine through a local dealer at cost and that has a lot to do white why I own one as well. But I’d still pay full price if i didn’t have that option.

You may be swaying me. The more I think about it, the more I like having the ability to easily remove it any time I need the extra space. Any issues with rust on yours?

It’s aluminum, so no rust. I think the ratcheting part may be steel, but again, no rust there either.

I've got the Port-a-Rod built for 130 class reels and it works perfect. No rusting and I keep it attached year round. Ever so often I will spay a little WD-40 on the ratchet. It's well worth the money IMHO.

Has anyone figured out the specs on the stainless bolt that will fit in the bed track system?

I had this rod holder on my 04 Tacoma
    20171015_090725.jpg

    And these in the back

    20180203_115828.jpg

Now on my 2015, I got the rod holders on my roof rack, but still planning on getting the high clearance front hitch receiver so I can use my front rod rack cooler holder

    MVIMG_20190629_094404.jpg

And I have this matching shirt for my Tacoma
