    So I got back to Toyota of HB today.... the other parts guy is there (thank God) he's been way more helpful. The other dude ordered the wrong part then hassled me for it.

    Long story short he comes back with the key to unlock my spare tire carrier. Well, it has the key, the sleeve the key and your tool goes into, and then the whole entire locking system you put on the truck. Problem is... I only need the key and the sleeve.

    Long story short, the parts guy calls one of the main service dudes to take a look at it. He sighs right when he sees it and says "those things suck". Which I agreed to.

    So he told the parts guy to look up what it would cost just to put a stock spare tire carrier on it, with the normal hex bolt. He looks it up, $80 bucks. Gave me 25% off and the money back for the part the other dude messed up on. He saved my opinion on them for sure.

    I paid a little more than I wanted but $60 bucks is worth it to never have to deal with that locking key crap on the trail.
