    Hey Everyone!

I just picked up my first Tacoma in quicksand! Im looking to widen up the stance but without lifting it. Any ideas on tire specs, spacers, or anything?

IMG_7366.jpg If you stay with the OEM wheels you will probably have to go with spacers or a some really wide tires but then you may run into inside clearance issues. I went with some 17" wheels with a -6 offset with 265/70 R17 Nittos, with no lift (yet), and I haven't experienced any rubbing.IMG_7368.jpg

I totally forgot to include, I was looking at tires and wheels. So thank you for answering that. Love the look you got going.

16x8.5 rims with 265/75/16 tires does the trick.

No need for spacers or a lift.

I watched a video on YouTube where a gent took his size to 285/75R16 on stock ride height and no spacers, just trimmed and molded some of the plastics using a Dremel tool and heat gun.

I think I saw that. He was lightly off-roading and said he had nothing rubbing. I still find it hard to believe though. I would not want any rubbing ever, even during heavy off-roading.

Yep. I'm running the same setup. Minimal rubbing, but mainly because I am too lazy to go plug in the heat gun and push in the one other spot mine rubs.

Nope, but just barely. It's VERY close at full lock, but doesn't rub. The day I put them on it rubbed on the passenger side at full lock and only turning to the left, but somehow it self-corrected and it clears fine now (may have been due to the tire pressure)..
