I notice folks mounting hi-lift jacks on Tacomas and wonder how a jack like this would be used without ruining the bumper.

On factory setups, I wouldn't recommend it. I have a hilift jack but would only be able to lift my front because of my winch bumper set up. Once I get my sliders I will able to use that a lift point. I would consider lifting by my hitch but only I if I had no other choice. The lift mate is nice to keep handy. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...ds=hi+lift&dpPl=1&dpID=41ZzIu-xHVL&ref=plSrch

Rock sliders or armor bumpers with d-rings. You can also use them as a rudimentary winch also.

Most of us using hi-lifts are running aftermarket bumpers and sliders for thenlift points.

you could also use the hi lift as a winch/come along with the attachment they make.

otherwise use it on sliders, the lift mate, or if you have an aftermarket bumper.

OK, that makes more sense. They were originally designed for steel bumpers on farm trucks or military jeeps and other old-school beaters.

I like that wheel gadget but it looks kinda tipsy. I think I see a risk of pulling the top of the jack into the fender.

:p Yikes, nice, heavily-accessorized truck. It does look cool!

Is that a real license plate? Maybe Baltimore, New Zealand?

I use it on my front and rear receiver, and have used it for a high leveler on the tongue of my trailer, but when not in use, I keep it in back on the right side to help counterbalance my Taco lean.
