500 so far. Had it 3 weeks. Going to take it in for the service on Tuesday and then I'll be able to ride highway! It is a stupid fun bike, handles great and is very peppy.

I have full coverage on it, running me about $155 a month. I am under 25 and have only had my license for a few months though so YMMV.

 

I like it a lot more than my roommates 2015 Honda cb500f

 

So 5.29s are awesome.

 

I should see lower rates, I am 42, haven't had a ticket or accident in over a decade, and have Progressive with multiple vehicles.

So damn sexy! I love the tech on the Duke.

 

Yeah you probably will! I'm hoping mine will drop after 6months. I'm going to shop around again when my policy expires.

 

I'm going to hit up TEAM in Jan-Feb to get my endorsement and then probably make the move around April/May. I so want to get the Akrapovic slip on right away, but I'll have so much money sunk into gear, that will have to wait...

 

Washed it after hitting 1k miles in about 3 weeks On a side note, anyone know the blue 3rd gen with what appear to be fa5s, pro grill, slight lift... in Tempe? It's a trd or. Figured owner might be here

 

I took one of their classes just to sharpen my skills a little bit when I bought the bike. Even though I had commuted on a DRZ400 for a little under a year and rode dirt bikes after selling the DRZ. It still made a massive difference, I learned a lot in that class.

The longer you have your license, the cheaper your insurance, even if you haven't had a bike during that time. Insurance agencies think you will kill yourself in the first 18 months of having it. So the sooner you get your endorsement, the sooner your insurance will drop.

Check with TEAM and others for discounted classes over holiday weekends. Sometimes you can get a great deal.

 

This shit in vegas makes me nauseous. What a fucking coward. Can't even go to a concert in this day and age.
