So how's it going Southern California Toyota bros! I'm a San Diego native born and raised currently live in AZ. After looking for some dirt and coming across old threads of this close down off-road location. It's definitely trash riddled but the pictures are epic, the trails looked nasty. All of the entry's I've read are close but if you stay persistant you can find a way into a nasty section off twin oaks... what a trail boys! 35s and locker required!!!!

Pretty savage terrain here, period! Since there is clearly a trash problem I'm going to cleanup a truck bed full on my way out!

Why would you off-road in a place where it's illegal when there are so many places relatively close by where it's completely legal?

    Mind boggling.

As far as I have read and from what I saw there was areas clearly posted as closed off areas, I did not go into a closed area or around any barrier I simply reserved until I found a way to explore the land as it was originally intended. There's now a bag full less trash up there and I took down about 6 tires to the recycling center. That was a beautiful and difficult trail system

You should make a sticky post in the Southern California forum that would help people like myself who drive a Toyota and love Toyota, yet found more useful Southern California wheeling info on jeep groups. There is no recent and easily accessible information on where wheeling is friendly for people in the Escondido/Oceanside area

This place is right up the road from me. My friends and I have been going here to wheel, ride motorcycles, and target shoot for many, many years. Great area to wheel if you have a capable enough rig. Definitely not for the newbies. 35's and lockers can even get stuck - trust me. But the trails and views are epic. There are different entrances into the area but it's getting harder and harder every year to find unlocked ways in. If you do go there, please tell everyone to respect it and never dump trash.

The population growth in this region is killing our remaining off-road places to play, dammit!

I took a bunch of what seemed to be paint buckets with some paint in them, and a few black bags of trash as I install artificial grass and carry around black 45 gallon trash bags in my truck. This place was absolutely amazing and I was blown away by the difficulty. I took some video of a nasty chute section that made me back down a narrow ass trail. I was staying out of trouble though but would love to wheel there with someone knowledgeable. I really appreciate the positive response as I have only good intentions in the outdoors especially in my home town.
