It's a bit high for the mileage...is it Toyota Pre Certified? I bought mine used from a deal and it came with a 10k or 1yr warranty.

Yes It is a Toyota pre certified. It has 75,000 miles and the warranty is good only up to 100,000 miles or up to the year 2022 whichever comes first

IDK it may depend on where you live. I just bought a 2015 TRD Sport DCSB M/T a month ago with 54,000 miles for $26k just outside the DC area. So, either I got a good deal or they sell for more other places

    Truck was also certified

I'd say 24k should be appropriate, especially if its well taken care of and one owner, who knows it could be highway miles and everything is documented. weigh your options though.

Nelson bowers Owens the Toyota store in Cleveland tn. That price seems high to me with the miles that are on it I would think 24k is closer to the correct ##

Do you think the dealers get vehicles for free? Most of the time on newer vehicles the profit margin is only a few grand, they're not going to sell it for zero profit, especially not a Tacoma. If you show up offering HALF of what they are asking the sales manager won't even waste his time with you.

Educated guess... they paid 21-22k trade in. So there's some wiggle room on price. I'd say 24k and you're doing well.

Agreed completely. On a truck like in the OP, many of those miles had to be highway miles to rack them up at that rate. Those are easy miles that don't put stress on the vehicle and don't cause a lot of wear on things like the seats, interior trim, etc. due to frequently getting in and out of the vehicle. My 2013 had 71k on it when I bought it. Granted that is fewer per year than the OP, but still a little on the high-side. The only interior piece that showed any signs of wear was the lettering around the volume knob. It is worth considering that the higher mileage reduces the effective warranty of a CPO, but a mostly highway mileage vehicle has the chance to be an excellent value for the next owner. I don't think the asking price in the OP is too high, but I would expect to try and get it for a few grand less after negotiation.

A $15k offer is a non-starter, in my opinion. Figure out how much it is worth to you ahead of time, don't let them talk you in to settling on a price that you weren't prepared to pay, and understand that there may be a gap between your figure and theirs that can't be bridged. I think you will get a lot further, with much less stress, by having a rational discussion while sticking to your plan. Going in guns blazing and trying to beat them up over pricing just creates a hostile discussion that doesn't help your cause. They won't have too much trouble selling a used Tacoma. They do quite well on the pre-owned market. You won't have trouble finding another one, either, if that one doesn't pan out.

Yeah, i think that price from the OP would be good out the door. My 14 DCSB OR had 60k when i bought it a year or so ago, and i want to say i was around $27k out the door. Not certified pre-owned though

That many miles would at least mean they're mostly highway miles... But you never know

I paid $24k for my 2012 OR DCSB 4x4 a couple years ago with 49k on the clock. I don’t think this sounds like a bad deal honestly.

Too high or not someone bought that Tacoma. I guess better them than me
Regardless of price they snatch them up here in Tennessee especially the 4x4.
