Hey guys and gals, I'm in the process of ordering this item for myself and thought I'd see if anyone else is interested.

It's basically a Hard shell RTT with rack built into the top of it. This way you don't lose your entire roof rack because of a tent. I'm in the process of confirming all of the details with the manufacturer and will update accordingly. Initial specs I have are 215x145x95cm. I have requested a hydraulic lift mechanism vs the crank style pictured. This should eliminate the cross bars on the inside of the tent near the windows and replace them with the hydraulic hinge to the outside edges of the window. It will include the ladder, mattress, and mounting kit.

I have a Hard shell RTT Group buy over at T4R.org that you can check out here: This would be separate from that GB unless everyone jumps ship on the original style and wants in on this one.

Anyways, let me know if this might be something you're interested in.

Price is currently being negotiated, but I feel it will land in Los Angeles in the $1600-$1800 range.

    Thanks for looking!RTTrack.jpg RTTrack1.jpg RTTrack2.jpg

If I recall correctly the short bed is 5ft long? If that's the case and you only wanted it to be in the bed area, then yes it will be too long. The tent length is 85" or 7'1" exterior dimension. This gives and internal length of roughly 6'6" for sleeping, which is ideal. Typically, for your application this would be a cab and over-bed mounted item.
    Hope that helps!

no worries, man. I'd suggest a soft RTT for just the over-bed application if you want a tent setup.
