Key fob again

    Sorry there looks like a thousand key fob questions here I'm new so bear with me I bought today a new 2017 Tacoma manual trans. 4x4 pickup 1 mi. on the odometer Its a basic model
    Has power locking doors do I need to have a transponder and key fobs to remote look the doors Just a question It only locks with the Key manually


    Thanks for your help Tacoma/ 1973 fj40 had for 35 years

    Dumber question: if it's a push to start, is the spare keyfob in the glovebox or elsewhere in the cab?

    Check the window sticker and the keys the dealership gave you. If sticker says keyless entry, then you should have gotten a key fob.

    Which model did you get? If you got the SR then no keyless entry. All other models have keyless entry.

    Sounds like you bought the SR Utility Package and that package doesn’t come with keyless remote , intermittent wipers , cruise control etc. The SR convenience package comes with keyless remote and cruise and the intermittent wipers is an extra on that package from what I have read. Best bet would ask your dealership if they can add those on for you imo. Or you could get a reasonable price on an aftermarket solution such as an alarm that will incorporate a keyless unlocking feature. Best of luck to you and will follow this as my brother just bought a SR utility as well.
